None of the five books bought or sold anything this week, and nothing paid a dividend either: every share count at Friday's close matches last Friday's. The only fills in the log are still last Friday's seven Hypergrowth lines, written up a week ago. What moved was the market under the books, and it moved in two directions at once.
Software ran while Europe's power and engine makers fell. The cloud fund WCLD rose 11.8 percent and the software fund IGV 6.0 percent; Rolls-Royce fell 13.8 percent in London and Safran 14.5 percent in Paris. That split decided the books: Global Tech 50, which holds the Europeans, lost about 27,300 dollars on its lines, while AI Build-Out and Hypergrowth, heavier in software, ended slightly up.
Where it hurt
Global Tech 50 had 35 of its 46 lines lower on the week. Soitec was the biggest dollar hit, down 13.2 percent to 124.50, about 2,650 dollars on 140 shares; Rolls-Royce's ADR fell 13.2 percent to 15.54, about 2,400 dollars on 1,008 ADRs, and Safran 13.2 percent to 305.00. Soitec and Safran are held through their US over-the-counter lines. Sea fell 20.4 percent to 74.63, ABB 9.8 percent, Nokia 10.9 percent to 8.14 and SoftBank's ADR 9.3 percent.
AI Build-Out's worst line was Lenovo, down 17.2 percent to 58.02 on 203 ADRs, after Lenovo's Hong Kong shares fell 19.3 percent. Coherent fell 10.1 percent to 209.29, Infineon 7.0 percent and Alphabet 5.8 percent to 317.26. In Hypergrowth, Lumentum fell 8.2 percent to 756.17 and Nebius 4.1 percent to 158.74, about 1,350 dollars each.
