Stock rankings

Ranked views across the 332 stocks our engines scan every night. Each ranking answers one question, in plain language, and every row links to the stock’s full page. Rebuilt every market morning.

Directional Flow

Our trend-quality score: a nightly number for every covered stock — the higher, the steadier and stronger the trend. What the score measures.

  • Top scores Every stock in our nightly Directional Flow scan, ranked by trend score from strongest to weakest — the complete coverage in one table.
  • Rising fastest The stocks whose trend score climbed the most over the last 21 trading days — where new leadership tends to show up first.
  • This week’s movers The biggest trend-score changes of the last five trading days, up or down — the fastest-moving names in our coverage this week.
  • Steady builders The stocks whose trend score has risen the most over roughly three months of trading — slow, steady improvement rather than one-week jumps.
  • Getting stronger Only the stocks our engine currently marks as “getting stronger” — trends that are still improving today, whatever their level.
  • Getting weaker Only the stocks our engine currently marks as “getting weaker” — trends that are deteriorating today, whatever their level.
  • Falling fastest The stocks whose trend score dropped the most over the last 21 trading days — where leadership tends to break down first.
  • Daily archive Every night’s top 50, one frozen page per scan — how the ranking looked on any past day.

Country Flow

The same trend score, measured on country stock markets (via their US-listed ETFs) — which markets around the world are trending, and which are breaking down.

  • Top scores Every country market (via its US-listed ETF) we cover, ranked by tonight's Directional Flow trend score — the steadiest, strongest price trends first.
  • Rising fastest The country markets whose trend score climbed the most over the last 21 trading days — where rotation shows up first. The bottom of the table shows the fastest-falling scores.

Sector Flow

The same trend score, measured on the US sectors (via the sector ETFs) — which sectors are leading the tape, and which are losing their trend.

  • Top scores Every sector (via its ETF) we cover, ranked by tonight's Directional Flow trend score — the steadiest, strongest price trends first.
  • Rising fastest The sectors whose trend score climbed the most over the last 21 trading days — where rotation shows up first. The bottom of the table shows the fastest-falling scores.

Asset Flow

The same trend score across the major asset classes — global equity benchmarks, gold, oil, Treasuries and sovereign bonds, the dollar, bitcoin and volatility — one nightly read of where trend quality lives across the whole board.

  • Top scores Every asset (via its US-listed tracker) we cover, ranked by tonight's Directional Flow trend score — the steadiest, strongest price trends first.
  • Rising fastest The major assets and benchmarks whose trend score climbed the most over the last 21 trading days — where rotation shows up first. The bottom of the table shows the fastest-falling scores.

Theme Flow

The same trend score, measured on investment themes — semiconductors, software, cloud, defense and more, via their theme ETFs.

  • Top scores Every theme (via its ETF) we cover, ranked by tonight's Directional Flow trend score — the steadiest, strongest price trends first.
  • Rising fastest The investment themes whose trend score climbed the most over the last 21 trading days — where rotation shows up first. The bottom of the table shows the fastest-falling scores.

Flow × Technicals

The trend score crossed with classic chart measures — 52-week highs, moving averages, golden and death crosses. Each list answers one specific question, and only the stocks that qualify tonight appear.

  • Near their highs Stocks with a strong Directional Flow trend score currently trading within 5% of their 52-week high — intact trends at their highs.
  • On a pullback Stocks with a solid trend score, still above their 200-day average, but currently below their 20-day average — strong names in a short-term dip.
  • Fresh crosses Stocks whose 50-day average crossed the 200-day average within the last two months — golden and death crosses side by side, newest first.

Up & Down Beta

Every stock has two betas — one for the market's up days, one for its down days — and the gap between them is where the interesting names hide. From our nightly beta-convexity engine, measured against the S&P 500.

  • Rise more than they fall The stocks with the biggest positive gap between their up-day beta and their down-day beta — names that participate in rallies more than they suffer in sell-offs, as measured over the last 126 trading days.
  • Fall more than they rise The stocks with the most negative gap between up-day beta and down-day beta — names that suffer in sell-offs more than they participate in rallies, over the last 126 trading days.
  • Beta breaking loose The stocks whose beta to the market has moved furthest and fastest away from its own history — the least stable market relationships in our coverage right now.

Inside the ETFs

An ETF shows one price; its members rarely agree. This family ranks the covered funds by what happens inside them — how far apart the members are, and how broad the strength underneath really is.

  • Most divided The covered funds ranked by how far apart their members’ 21-day returns are — the most internally divided funds first, the most unanimous last.
  • Divided today The covered funds ranked by how far apart their members’ returns were in the last session — single-day disagreement, largest first.
  • Broadest strength The covered funds ranked by their median member’s 21-day return — where the typical holding is strongest, not just the headline.

Daily Rankings — Q&A

What are the Closelook Daily Rankings?

Six leaderboard families from the house engines — Directional Flow (trend quality), Country / Sector / Theme Flow (the same score over market cuts), Flow × Technicals, Up & Down Beta, Inside the ETFs (dispersion) — rebuilt every market morning, each with curated views and a per-day frozen archive.

How often are they rebuilt, and how far back does the archive go?

Every market morning after the nightly scans (23:05 UTC Directional Flow, 23:45 UTC scores); every family keeps one frozen page per trading day since it launched in August 2026.

Is a ranking a recommendation?

No. Rankings describe what the engines measure — trend quality, beta asymmetry, member dispersion — in an investment research diary. They recommend nothing.
